How can a kidnapping event enter and exit my story?

I'm writing a fantasy novel. Right now, the main character has washed up on an unfamiliar beach. She has a broken leg and can't travel much, but I eventually want her to be kidnapped. How should she encounter the kidnappers and how should she escape in the end?
